Job Description An employer is seeking a Customer Service Distribution Lead to join their team in Ellenwood, GA. This person will ensure timely and accurate movement of freight and information, while providing exceptional customer service and be a competent “go to” person for customers and colleagues. Operational & Data Entry Responsibilities Perform accurate and timely data entry for receiving, order allocation, shipping, inventory management, and all activities within EDMS. Generate and maintain required paperwork, inventory records, customer work orders, and documentation for receiving and shipping. Ensure accurate and timely billing for clients and vendors; maintain required billing certifications. Warehouse Coordination & Support: -Provide warehouse staff with all necessary documents and information to complete receiving and shipping tasks. -Seal and unseal trailers; support use of warehouse equipment (RF gun, pallet jacks, shrink wrap, etc.). -Assist with miscellaneous projects, filing, research, and maintaining accurate SOPs for each account. -Coordinate last‑minute or expedited shipping needs with Transportation and Operations teams. Customer & Vendor Relations: -Maintain strong working relationships with customers by resolving inquiries and complaints related to work orders, invoices, shipments, and inventory counts. -Attend client calls, support onboarding of new business, and report customer feedback or dissatisfaction to management. -Support positive vendor relationships, including trucking and other partners. Team Collaboration & Training: -Work with onsite staffing manager and operations leadership to request or remove labor resources as needed. -Train new team members on processes and procedures; support colleagues with knowledge‑based guidance and complex procedural questions. -Assist Department Manager with creating work instructions and serve as a department-wide subject matter resource when needed. Process Improvement & Compliance: -Understand department process flow and contribute ideas for improving operational efficiency and productivity. -Ensure compliance with internal standards (OPS), customer requirements, government regulations, and KPI expectations. -Maintain required certifications, including Hazardous -Materials certification, and complete 52 hours of annual training. Physical Demands: -Use standard office and warehouse equipment including computer, phone, printer/scanner, shrink‑wrap machine, tape dispenser, RF gun, pallet jack, etc. -Write using standard writing tools; handle lifting boxes up to 50 lbs. -Perform duties at a desk within the warehouse and by walking the warehouse floor.
