This is a fulltime, position.  This position is required to be in the office.

Position Summary:
This position is responsible for coordinating the shipment of raw shelled peanuts from shelling plants, outside cold storage, and other points of origin, to domestic and international food manufacturing customers.

Job Responsibilities:Role requires intimate knowledge of GPC customer accounts including customer product specifications, receivables, credit limits.Candidate should have excellent verbal and written communications skills. Role requires successful communication with GPC Logistics Team in Alpharetta and at the Shelling Plants. Role also requires interaction with GPC Sales; GPC Manufacturing; External Freight Companies; Regulatory Agencies, customers, GPC Accounting, ADM Export Transportation team, brokers, etc.Candidate must be able to build and maintain both internal and external customer relationships. Handle and understand the needs of all customers as assigned.Manage customer contracts to ensure customers are pulling on timely basis.Spool shipping orders to the shipping locations on a timely basis.Initiate, enter and secure approval on contract amendments.Understand plant operations, including logistics, production and inventory.Understand requirements and procedures of outside purchases contracts and ensure that outside purchases are taken in a timely manner.Ability to use the GPC/ADM main-frame computer systems is required.Ability to use word processing, Salesforce, Excel spread sheets and other PC based programs required.Negotiation skills requiredAbility to minimize cost while meeting customer needsProblem solving skills required.Job Requirements:One to three years of experience, working with shipments, shipment documents or in a related area, preferred.Basic understanding of manufacturing and marketing processesUnderstand the urgency of situations and be able to prioritizeQualified candidate must be able to understand peanut grading standards, government regulations and customer specifications.Ability to troubleshoot and determine resources that may be needed to solve problems with the Logistics process.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, convey information professionally and concisely.“Team Player” mindset, requiredA degree in Business, Logistics or a related field preferredExcited about this role but don’t think you meet every requirement listed?
