Are you ready to make your mark? If you’re a Customer Quality Engineer, we have an exciting opportunity for you.  This position reports directly to the quality leader and is responsible for being the voice of the customer and acts as the quality liaison through frequent customer contact. This position works under moderate to low level of supervision and seeks direction/guidance on unique or difficult problems.

What You Will Be Doing Acts as the Customer Advocate within Woodward processes and systemsActs as the Customer liaison for compliance to customer quality requirements and customer satisfaction relative to quality of products and servicesResponsible for a medium number or size of customer accounts. Consults with leadership or higher level customer quality engineers on advanced or complex issuesResponsible for monitoring and tracking customer quality dataDrives root cause analysis and problem solving utilizing Six Sigma methodology and Woodward Quality Management System processesMonitors and drives improvements to customer quality metrics throughout Woodward

What We Are Looking For Required skills only, including years of experience and education. Associate’s Degree in a technical field required.Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field preferred.2+ years quality engineering experience with 2 year Associates degree required, or 2-5 years quality engineering or quality management in lieu of a degree required.Nationally recognized quality certification preferred.Green Belt or Black Belt preferred.Working knowledge of Woodward's organizational structure, information systems and proDemonstrates the ability to regularly utilizes Six Sigma principals, tools and methodologyEffective written and verbal communication skills including presentations. Writes and presents standard technical reports to peers, management and customersProficiency to capture important data, analyze data and report appropriate conclusions: able to identify and address the critical few from the trivial manyProficient in understanding and interpreting engineering specifications, mechanical drawings, and/or electrical schematics, and Geometric Dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)Solid understanding of quality management systems including ISO9001, AS9100, TS16949, and/or QS9000Up to 20% travel required.
