Customer Navigator
Description We are looking for a dedicated Customer Navigator to join our team on a contract basis in Palo Alto, California. In this role, you will act as a non-clinical liaison, ensuring that patients and their families receive exceptional support before, during, and after their healthcare encounters. This position requires a strong commitment to delivering outstanding service aligned with patient-centered care principles. Responsibilities: • Serve as a concierge and primary point of contact for patients, addressing their needs and concerns throughout their healthcare journey. • Assist patients and visitors with transportation arrangements, including providing information on campus shuttles and other transportation options. • Facilitate the scheduling of medical appointments and coordinate care plans for both inpatient and outpatient services. • Actively communicate patient feedback and concerns to the appropriate departments, ensuring timely resolution and follow-up. • Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and ethical standards in alignment with organizational and regulatory requirements. • Provide detailed information and guidance to patients navigating the healthcare system, ensuring they feel supported and informed. • Utilize organizational tools and templates to maintain accurate records and streamline communication. • Participate in ongoing training and education programs to enhance service delivery and patient experience. • Collaborate with team members to sustain compliance with National Patient Safety Goals and other healthcare standards. • Uphold confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions, fostering trust and respect among patients and colleagues. Requirements • Proven experience in customer service, public relations, or a similar role, preferably in a healthcare setting. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on empathy and professionalism. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel, and familiarity with scheduling tools. • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while adhering to deadlines and quality standards. • Knowledge of healthcare systems and practices, including patient care coordination. • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards. • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse environment. • Fluency in English and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
