As a Qualcomm Customer Engineer, you will collaborate with leading application vendors to integrate advanced AI models, ensuring they operate efficiently on powerful NPU engines built into Qualcomm chipsets. This position will expose you to Qualcomm’s cutting-edge CPU, GPU and NPU features, and ML/AI acceleration needed for the industry.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.

• 2+ years of experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
• 1+ year of experience with debugging techniques.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in science, Engineering, or related field.

7+ years of experience in Embedded platforms

Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow or other ML framework

Experience in ML/MLOps for AI application development and deployment

Strong programming skill in C/C++ & Python.

Experience with supervised & unsupervised machine learning, machine learning systems based on CV, NLP and LLM architecture

Strong data analysis capability.

Fast learner, with strong technical background, problem solution experience and customer focus

Using SW architecture and design patterns.

Familiarity with architectural patterns for large-scale software applications

Experience in a customer facing role is a plus

Experience with fine-tuning GenAI models and reinforcement learning is a plus

Experience with inference accuracy and throughput optimization techniques and edge deployment is a plus

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for CV models, LLMs, VLMs, VLAs deployment in ADAS and Cockpit Edge AI platforms

Develop end to end applications for inference deployment on customer platforms

Plan with team lead, take ownership of on-time delivery and quality.

Train and support internal teams in issue resolution.

Participate in cross department initiatives & activities to solve technical problems with cross-functional team.

Contributing towards the continuous development & innovation of tools, technology and user experience

Assist in the design, development, and implementation of Gen AI and LLM applications

Contribute towards implementing fine tuning and distillation techniques

Perform ML model benchmarking and functional analysis to drive requirements and specifications

Support customer engagement with AI model/workload optimization and deployment

Collaborates with own team and other teams to complete project work, including implementing and testing features and verifying the accuracy of systems

Develops new and innovative ideas for a product or feature area.

Drives triage of problems at the system level to determine root cause and presents results of testing and debugging to team members.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:

$145,000.00 - $217,600.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted.
