This role combines hands-on technical expertise with customer-facing collaboration, sitting at the intersection of solution design, integration, and customer engagement. Unlike traditional pre-sales roles, this position is about building and delivering real integrations—developing tools, workflows, and connections that deliver immediate value. You’ll partner directly with customer stakeholders to deeply understand their goals, then prototype, configure, and implement solutions that bring those goals to life. You’ll be supported by a dedicated customer team—including a project manager, account manager, designer, product manager, and data analyst—ensuring you can focus on driving technical excellence and customer success. Key Responsibilities + Customer Engagement: Collaborate directly with retail customers to understand their business challenges and identify integration opportunities that create measurable impact. + Technical Implementation: Build and configure integrations between ThirdChannel systems and customer data streams (sales, inventory, traffic, conversion) using APIs, SQL, and modern ETL/workflow tools. + Rapid Prototyping & Delivery: Deliver solutions quickly, combining off-the-shelf platforms with lightweight custom code where needed. + Solution Design Partnership: Work with product and design teams to ensure solutions are user-friendly, scalable, and consistent with platform capabilities. + Analytics Enablement: Collaborate with analysts to ensure integrated pipelines power dashboards and actionable insights. + Scalability & Best Practices: Identify reusable integration patterns and recommend improvements to drive efficiency across customer projects. + Continuous Improvement: Provide feedback from the field to improve both internal systems and customer-facing implementations. Skills & Requirements + 3+ years in solutions engineering, integration, or implementation with direct customer exposure. + Strong coding and integration background (APIs, SQL, data pipelines, and cloud platforms). + Familiarity with workflow and integration tools (e.g., MuleSoft, Boomi, Make, Fivetran, Zapier, or custom connectors). + Experience translating customer requirements into actionable technical designs. + Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. + Strong collaboration skills with designers, PMs, engineers, and analysts. + Experience working with retail or e-commerce data streams (sales, inventory, traffic, conversion) preferred. + Comfortable in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment with shifting priorities.
