Job OverviewThe Customer Analytics Manager role serves as the primary arbiter of customer data, both internal & external. The Customer Analytics Manager uses this data for 3 primary purposes: commercial selling and planning, commercial execution, and agile-based process improvement. Through data analysis and processing, the Customer Analytics Manager supports the Directors for the specified customer group with the tools & aides they need to sell incremental volume. In addition, the Customer Analytics Manager helps Sales Reps identify if programs/priorities were executed, where the gaps occurred if they were not executed, and how to close those gaps with creative solutions unlocked through data insights. The Customer Analytics Manager is focused on continual process improvement. This is done by consistently reviewing internal & external priorities and working both cross-functionally and outside of the organization to quickly pivot, create and/or refine processes to best support the customer and to set up the Consolidated team for success.
Duties & Responsibilities Supports incremental volume through data-driven selling of the commercial plan & agile workstreams by providing the Directors they support with data insights and sales aides: Owns, reviews, researches, and maintains daily, monthly, annual, and other periodic sales performance reports as well as other key business metrics to ensure success of the team Leverages real-time scan and share data to create compelling sales stories for incremental space Analyzes historical sales performance and trends to forecast new item launches, local sell opportunities, and promotional activities Enhances execution at the store level by providing Sales Reps with tools and tracking to close gaps and drive volume: Creates execution tracking by utilizing internal survey data and software on-hand data to determine if teams executed Analyzes internal & external data to root cause why programs/priorities were or were not executed Uses data insights to create specific action-oriented plans to correct missed opportunities Creates incentives to drive performance at the store level in support of Walmart team vision of creating field-level engagement Conducts special projects and other duties as assigned by the direct supervisor based on the evolving needs of the customer and the evolving needs of the team: Tool and process-oriented to deliver Consolidated financial goals and improve service to the customer Projects are agile requiring efficient time management, quick problem solving and collaboration Leads relationships with Brand Partner analytics teams to: Refines & validates data Creates consistent reporting & tracking across the total truck Delivers internal financials and support customer with best-in-class solutions Leads cross-functional relationships with Customer Operations, RGM and PSP to: Establishes efficiency with the execution of priorities Creates customer satisfaction by presenting a total organization solutionKnowledge, Skills, & Abilities Advanced organizational, time management, and attention to detail skills are required Financial acumen is a must Advanced analytical skills are a must Excellent oral and written communication skills are required Ability to prioritize multiple assignments with time-sensitive deadlines Adept in agility, nimbleness, and flexibility Desire to grow in role with an eagerness to learn Expertise in customer portals such as Retail Link and Vendor Managed Pricing is a must Computer proficiency in MS Office Suite (particularly MS Excel and MS PowerPoint) is required Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree Knowledge acquired through 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications Work Environment
