Custom Solutions Technician

System One is recruiting a Custom Solutions Technician for a permanent position located in Broken Arrow, OK.
This position will support the Custom Solutions Department located in Broken Arrow, OK. The Custom Solutions Team designs and assembles fluid system assemblies tailored to customer’s needs.
Position Summary
The Custom Solutions Technician is responsible for the assembly, fabrication, testing, and packaging of high-quality fluid and gas systems using company and third-party components. This is a mix of production and job shop environment, with ability to manage changing priorities without compromising on Quality.
This role requires interpreting work orders, technical drawings and P&IDs, performing precision tube bending, conducting leak testing, performing inspections. An extreme commitment to quality is required, including but not limited to: Obtaining Corporate Certifications and ensuring absolute compliance with company Quality System (SQS) and all Processes and Procedures. The technician works closely with engineering, procurement, and quality teams to deliver assemblies on time and to customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Assembly & Fabrication
+ Kit, Build, inspect, and test custom fluid and gas system assemblies according to drawings, BOMs, and specifications.
+ Perform precision tube cutting, facing, bending, and threading, as required.
+ Assemble hoses and test per specifications
+ Operate a variety of hand tools, including, but not limited to: tube benders, calipers, pressure gauges, saws, drills, and other shop equipment.
+ Ability to operate Computer Controlled Saw and Tube Bender along with CMM Arm.
+ Maintain accuracy, safety, quality, and efficiency while meeting production deadlines.
Testing & Quality Control
+ Perform leak testing (bubble/helium or equivalent methods) to validate system integrity.
+ Perform inspections of CNC Bent Tubing using CMM Arm.
+ Inspect finished assemblies to ensure compliance with company Quality System, appropriate Certification, processes & procedures, and customer requirements.
+ Document test results and support traceability of materials and components.
Technical Interpretation
+ Read and interpret P&IDs, Schematics, CAD drawings, assembly instructions, and bills of materials.
+ Identify and resolve discrepancies in design or assembly process by working with engineers and project managers.
Project & Process Support
+ Track production orders, maintain material traceability, and maintain Kanban or ERP/MRP system accuracy.
+ Support procurement of materials and coordinate with suppliers to ensure availability of components.
+ Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, cost, and delivery.
+ Assist in equipment maintenance, calibration, and upkeep of workstations.
Collaboration
+ Work closely with other Custom Solutions Technicians, Custom Solutions Engineers, Quality, Sales, and other team members to ensure both company and customer requirements are met.
+ Provide input on manufacturability, assembly methods, and design improvements.
+ Promote and uphold company values, including a culture of safety, quality, and teamwork.
Other
+ Willingness to do other tasks not defined
+ Assist in reporting, scheduling, planning, etc.
Qualifications
+ High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree, trade qualification, or engineering coursework preferred.
+ Must be able to obtain Certifications via both online courses and in person training.
+ Hands-on experience in mechanical assembly, tube fitting, or fluid system fabrication.
+ Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and P&IDs.
+ Experience with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, pressure gauges).
+ Familiarity with leak testing, CNC tube cutting/bending, CMM inspection preferred.
+ A background working in an environment with strong Quality Control Processes and Procedures is required.
+ Knowledge of lean manufacturing, 5S, Kanban, or continuous improvement methods are desirable.
+ ERP/MRP software experience (e.g., SAP) and basic Microsoft Office skills.
+ Ability to certify on the forklift. Valid driver’s license and good driving record (must be insurable)
+ Ability to meet all requirements to go on site at refineries and other facilities. (May require background and or drug testing.)
+ Occasional travel may be required

+ Computer Skills: MS Office, ERP, and ability to learn CNC/CMM equipment.
+ Frequently required to lift and/or move objects up to 50 lbs.
+ Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and use power tools; occasionally required to stoop, crouch, kneel, and climb ladder. Manual dexterity is needed to properly handle products and gauges.
+ Must be able to pass Visual Acuity test including ability to identify colors.
