Our client, a community-focused organization dedicated to maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, is seeking a Custodian / Laborer to join their team. As a Custodian / Laborer, you will be an essential part of the facilities support team, ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the building to provide a safe and pleasant space for all visitors and staff. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Custodian / Laborer
**Location:** White Plains, NY
**Pay Range:** $19
**Duration:** 1 month possibly longer based on customer's needs
**Shift:**
**Monday- 8pm-12am**
**Tuesday- No**
**Wednesday- 8pm-12am**
**Thursday- No**
**Friday- 5:30pm-11:30pm**
**Saturday- 1pm-5pm**
**Sunday- 6pm-10pm**
**What's the Job?**
+ Maintain cleanliness and organization of the entire building, including bathrooms, offices, sanctuary, and classrooms.
+ Empty trash cans and pick up trash both inside and outside the building.
+ Vacuum, dust, and perform light repairs as needed to ensure the facility remains in excellent condition.
+ Prepare conference rooms and sanctuary for upcoming activities by setting up tables and chairs according to provided diagrams.
+ Assist with light maintenance tasks and ensure the environment is tidy and welcoming for all visitors.
**What's Needed?**
+ Must have at least 2 years janitorial/custodian/maintenance experience
+ Comfortable moving folding tables and chairs and performing routine cleaning tasks.
+ Ability to work according to the scheduled shifts, including evenings and weekends.
+ Neat and clean appearance, with a dress code of black pants and a blue shirt preferred.
+ Sneakers are acceptable for footwear, ensuring comfort and safety during work.
