Custodian

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The Custodian is responsible for ensuring a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout the facility. This includes routine cleaning and maintenance of restrooms, floors, surfaces, windows, and trash disposal. The role also involves supporting special events with setup, cleanup, and general maintenance tasks.

 Primary Responsibilities:

Clean and sanitize restrooms, including sinks, toilets, mirrors, and floorsSweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors in assigned areasClean windows, walls, and other surfaces as neededEmpty trash receptacles and dispose of waste in a sanitary mannerReplenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paperMonitor and report maintenance issues or safety hazardsAssist with setup and breakdown of furniture and equipment for meetings and special eventsFollow safety procedures and use cleaning supplies and equipment properlyEnsure all assigned areas are maintained to cleanliness and hygiene standards

Basic Qualifications

TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance is requiredHigh school diploma or equivalent1–3 years of experience in facilities management, operations, or a related fieldWorking knowledge of basic building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electricalAbility to perform routine inspections and identify maintenance needsFamiliarity with safety standards and building codesProficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar tools (e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook)Strong organizational and time management skillsEffective communication skills for interacting with colleagues, vendors, and contractorsAbility to work both independently and under moderate supervision

Preferred Qualifications

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field3+ years of relevant experience in facilities coordination, office space planning, or vendor/contract managementExperience with project planning and scheduling tools or software (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD, CAFM)Understanding of contract negotiation and vendor relationship managementExperience with space utilization planning and long-range office space strategyKnowledge of budgeting and cost-control practices related to facility operationsFamiliarity with sustainability practices and energy efficiency in facility managementCertification in facility-related fields (e.g., FMP – Facility Management Professional, OSHA, LEED, HVAC certification)Demonstrated ability to support construction or remodeling projects from inception to completion

Pay Range:Pay Range $39,650.00 - $71,675.00
