JOB DESCRIPTION:
Looking for a software professional with professional experience and demonstrative knowledge of Cúram from functional and or technical aspect. Knowledge of Cash and Food programs utilizing Cúram application is highly desired. Some HP Exstream is desired.
This position is housed under the Office of the Chief Technology Officer in direct support of the DC Access System (DCAS).
The Office of the Chief Technology Officer is looking for a developer who will be responsible for taking requirements from clients, working with clients in a cross-functional and technical environment and implementing their ideas. The incumbent will ensure that related work is of high quality, defects free and adheres to industry standards for software deployment methodologies.
The incumbent will become an integral part of the DCAS Team working with all related teams working towards the overall goal of successful system implementation and management so as to provide efficient services to the citizens of the District of Columbia.
The Core duties associated with the role are as follows:
• Develop and design templates by utilizing data base fields from Curam and incorporating them into HP Exstream templates.
• Performs requirements gathering, design and development of applications on simple to complex projects utilizing HP Exstream Designer (9.x or lower versions), MsExcel and MsWord.
• Ability to run sql queries, and import data in Excel and MsWord through mail-merge process.
• Works directly with clients to capture their requirements and subsequently work on implementing them into the system.
• Help with migration of files from development, to test, to pre-prod. Ability of utilizing Linux and windows platforms is desired.
• Compose queries to pull dynamic values from Cúram database for failed system notifications.
• Serves as a communication liaison to bridge gaps and resolve/identify deficiencies in the system.
• Maintain the environment (DEV, TEST, UAT) and ensure best practices of code keeping is followed such as, source control, back ups etc.
• Interacts daily with government clients in order to meet the technical requirements for new initiatives.
• Works with Quality Assurance / Quality Control teams to ensure the application remains secure, help with deployment of releases, and keep application defect free.
• Defines and documents processes to be used by all application developers on the team.
• Plans, researches, and recommends new equipment, software tools, and related technologies.
• Uses monitoring and performance analysis tools to troubleshoot and isolate application performance issues and nightly batches.
• Updates system and process documentation, produces user guides, diagrams, and SOPs as needed - Including Visio Network design drawings.
