Overview As the Director of Data Transformations, you will lead PepsiCo’s enterprise-wide modernization initiatives focused on transforming the legacy data landscape into a unified, cloud-native ecosystem. This strategic role demands strong techno-functional leadership to drive enterprise-scale data migrations, ensure operational excellence, and enforce governance across the cloud data stack. You will lead cross-functional teams, build scalable frameworks, and collaborate closely with business and technology stakeholders to modernize analytics, AI/ML, and business intelligence capabilities Responsibilities Lead the modernization and migration strategy for transforming legacy data platforms (e.g., Teradata) to modern cloud-native architectures (e.g., Azure Data Lake, Databricks). Drive large-scale data migration programs, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations, and delivering measurable outcomes tied to agility, cost savings, and innovation. Implement best practices for system Migrations, security and identifying the best cost-effective migration strategies t. Drive increased adoption of data, and business intelligence solution to empower business operations. Collaborate with internal clients (data science and product teams) to drive solutioning. Lead and scale high-performing, cross-functional engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement. Manage end-to-end RFP (Request for Proposal) processes including requirements definition, vendor evaluations, scoring models, and final selection for platform tools, services, and migration vendors. Manage relationships with multiple technology vendors and system integrators, ensuring contract compliance, service-level adherence, and alignment with strategic transformation goals. Serve as an executive point of contact for cloud modernization efforts, providing leadership updates, risk mitigation plans, and ROI assessments. Define and enforce SLAs for Transformations and operational processes. Support large-scale migrations with cost effective solutions. Document learnings, best practices, and knowledge transfer strategies. Develop reusable packages or libraries to streamline platform engineering efforts. Compensation and Benefits: The expected compensation range for this position is between $125,900 - $249,900. Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 25% of annual salary paid out annually and an additional target payout of 10% of annual salary is paid out over 3 years following the end of the performance period. Long term incentive equity may be awarded based on eligibility and performance. Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement. Qualifications 18+ years of experience in Data engineering, Solution architecture, 10+ years of experience in managing large scale Enterprise data warehouse solutions. Expertise in Data Landscape modernization by migrating legacy Data warehouses to the Modern Lake Houses, automation, and performance tuning. Experience with building large-scale, distributed Enterprise Data Warehouses with high availability and resiliency. Proven ability to manage multiple engineering teams and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders. Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as ADF, Databricks, Informatica, IICS . Strong knowledge of data governance, and compliance frameworks. Experience in implementing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps/DataOps best practices. Experience working with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Azure Monitor. Familiarity with cost management tools and techniques for Project Planing. Understanding of metadata management, data lineage, and platform governance. Exposure to AI-driven analytics and automation tools is a plus.
