What you will be doing
We have an exciting opportunity for a CNC Machinist to join our operations team within the Composite Technology Facility in Bristol, where we deliver the composite fan system (blades and containment case) capability for the Ultrafan program upon which future civil gas turbine products will depend.

As a Machinist you will be operating CNC 5 axis router/waterjet machines working to technical instructions to deliver in the production of composite components.

Responsibilities
Operate CNC & Waterjet machinesWork to technical instructions to deliver consistent, high-quality machining and inspection across a variety of different componentsOperate measuring equipment, including, micrometres, plug gauges, and surface finish equipmentCompleting inspection where requireAssist with investigations into operating and process issues.Provide process information to other colleagues to minimise disruption and reduce non-conformance. This should ensure right first-time approach and continuation of productionSupport senior team members with data collection and continuous improvement projectsEnsure awareness and compliance with all general health and safety and quality assuranceWillingness to pick up and learn new techniques within the Composite Technology FacilityWho we’re looking for:
