Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our CT Tech, you will operate diagnostic equipment and perform a variety of technical diagnostic imaging procedures related to computed tomography. You will provide critical patient orientation, procedure explanation, and essential pre and post-diagnostic care to ensure the successful completion of tests.
Every day you will perform CT exams on patients according to specific departmental procedure protocols under the Medical Director's direction, ensuring all equipment is operational, safe, and functioning correctly. You will facilitate patient understanding by reviewing physician orders, communicating with radiologists for proper exam protocols, and providing detailed diagnostic test information.
To be successful in this role, you will possess the ability to independently perform complete diagnostic imaging tests, including patient positioning, equipment calibration, and documentation of findings under supervision. You will demonstrate a strong commitment to patient safety, adherence to protocols, and effective communication with both patients and clinical staff.
Job Requirements
Required
A high school diploma or GEDWashington State Certification for Radiologic Technologist and a certificate from the American Registry or Radiological Technology (ARRT) as well as a current registration ARRTCurrent CPR validation Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, pathophysiology, and sterile techniques Basic IV procedure and IV contrast administration The ability to work with highly technical equipment Proficient computer skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills Physical ability to lift equipment and assist in moving large patients Advanced ARRT certification in CT within one (1) year of hire.Preferred
