Job Summary and Responsibilities
The Radiology/CT Technologist performs quality diagnostic radiographic computed tomography (CT) scans. The incumbent processes the images, or utilizes CR/PACS system; documents service performed, and makes adjustments and minor repairs on equipment. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of the Organization. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values.
The incumbent uses independent judgment, operates and is accountable for sophisticated, expensive, computerized radiographic and computed tomography equipmentCompletes all procedures in a manner consistent with a safe and professional environment for all, primarily high-risk and critically ill patients of all agesThe incumbent performs patient care duties associated with radiology, CT procedures when necessary and maintains procedural statistical documentation on all casesThe incumbent ensures effective communication and documentationThe incumbent provides support assistance and works with radiologists and other medical staff in an advisory capacityThe incumbent may take call for emergency proceduresJob Requirements
