Are you a highly skilled and compassionate CT Technologist ready to leverage your expertise in a supportive and patient-focused environment? St. Joseph Medical Center is seeking a dedicated individual to join our imaging team and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care.
As our CT Technologist, you will utilize your expertise to capture precise diagnostic images, enabling our Radiologists to accurately diagnose and/or rule out diverse medical conditions. Every day, you will adeptly create detailed cross-sectional images of the skeleton, tissues, and internal organs. Your compassionate interaction and skill in patient care will be crucial, as you play a significant role in fostering a positive and comforting patient experience throughout the imaging process.
To be successful in this role, you will deeply understand the critical importance of diagnostic imaging. This includes a comprehensive knowledge of general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and the ability to consistently capture clear results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses that guide effective patient care.
What You'll Do Every Day:
Perform precise diagnostic CT studies using GE CT scanners and associated equipment, executing procedures according to formal protocols.Provide compassionate patient care for all age groups, explaining procedures, addressing concerns, and acting as a liaison between patients and radiologists.Generate detailed cross-sectional images of the skeleton, tissues, and organs, ensuring clear results for accurate diagnoses.Monitor patient conditions during exams, responding to emergencies, and consulting with nursing staff as needed.Prioritize patient comfort and safety through appropriate positioning, radiation protection (ALARA), and adhering to protocol manuals.Maintain accurate patient records by documenting patient care notes, entering data into existing databases, and recording billing information.Contribute to quality assurance through assigned audits and activities, upholding departmental standards.Job Requirements
