CT Process Owner - Plant 10

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science / programming from an accredited institutionMinimum of 2 years’ experience in manufacturing environment focused on CT techniques, robot programming, automated inspection macros creation/validation, NDT inspection, digital dimensional analysis, and/or defect quantification using VGStudio MAX

 Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution in the following disciplines: Mechanical, Metrology, or Aerospace EngineeringVolume Graphics, CAD, robotics, CT inspection in manufacturing, and lean manufacturing  Experience working in a Casting environment partnering with NDT Level III’s, x-ray readers, design engineering, quality teams, and manufacturing to optimize inspection workflowsProficient in data-driven decision making to support product conformance and aerospace industry standardsStrong verbal, written, and analytical skillsKnowledge of MS OfficeAble to work in a self-directed or team environment and have good organizations skillsKnowledge of Six Sigma, statistical analysis, and scientific methods for problem solving

 

CT Process Owner for metrology application and inspection. This role is responsible for leading advanced analysis and visualization of industrial computed tomography (CT) scan data using Volume Graphics software to support quality assurance, design validation, and process development.  The CT Process Owner will act as a subject matter expert in developing CT techniques, robot programming, automated inspection macros creation/validation, digital dimensional analysis, and defect quantification using VGStudio MAX.  This position partners with NDT Level 3’s and the x-ray readers, design engineering, quality teams, and manufacturing to optimize inspection workflows and enable data-driven decision making in support of product conformance and aerospace industry standards.

Job Responsibilities

Write and maintain CT-specific techniques, inspection protocols, operating procedures, and data review methods aligned with customer standards. Support qualification of new CT systems, materials, and methods through scan strategy optimization and digital simulation analysis.  Assistance in the implementation of quality programs including review and monitoring of CT quality metrics.Establish best practices and standards for CAD-to-scan alignment, and automated inspection macros in VGStudio MAX.  Prepare CT area procedures.Develop and maintain CT data analysis macros using VGStudio MAX for wall thickness measurements, dimensional inspection, and visualization.Implement standardized workflows for CT data processing including performing correlation and Gage R&R studies. Collaborate with design engineering and metrology to resolve product variation issues, define tolerances, and support root cause analysis.  Interpret PCs, acceptable guides and defects.Analyze service and production standards and limitations.Find solutions to maintain product flow.Development and improvement of CT processes.Provide technical support to engineers, and other departments to support tooling development and process improvements.  Help Casting plants, Clients and/or Suppliers with CT problems.Mentor CT technicians and analysts to elevate technical capability and ensure consistency of digital inspection practices.Proficient with SolidWorks, AutoCAD & NX preferred.
