The Cleveland Clinic Marymount Hospital Department of Imaging team has the skills and expertise to provide the full spectrum of imaging services. From routine scans to in-depth evaluations, patients have access to every test they may need within our health system. As a CT/MRI Scan Technologist Assistant on this team, you will perform a variety of supportive tasks, including dispensing of department stock, stocking rooms daily, preparing oral contrast and exam data entry. In this role, you will promote a patient-driven philosophy, exhibiting positive behavior that supports and enhances their care experience. This position is an excellent entry into the healthcare field at Cleveland Clinic. **A caregiver in this position works day/evening rotation and 3:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m. Monday - Thursday and 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. on Sundays + on-call. Hours may vary** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Assure rooms are set up properly before beginning of procedure. + Clean rooms promptly post-procedure. + Assure patient modesty and comfort, assist patients with changing, answer call lights as appropriate and report any change in patient's condition or behavior. + Assure patient is discharged to appropriate destination. + Check proper identification of patient per policy and create patient identification bands. + Schedule scans and watch queue. + Verify physician exam order, look at needs of patient and initiate communication and inpatient flow. + Document patient history, conditions and any other pertinent information on requisition/history sheet and ensure all data is entered into the computer on day of exam, including nonprocedural changes, additional exams, and order revision. + Acquire, archive, transmit and print images via PACS, when applicable knowledge in after-hours transmission of images and appropriate paperwork immediately reporting any malfunctions to Help Desk and PACS Administrator. + Follow Radiation/MRI Safety Guidelines. + Operate all equipment properly and with care. + Maintain ethical and professional relationships with all customers, demonstrating cooperative efforts with coworkers and the ability to accept constructive criticism. + Assess the patient's readiness and need for learning, considering all aspects of diversity and inclusion. + Determine the best methodology to deliver education and receive verbal feedback or return demonstration to validate learning. + Provide verbal and/or written instructions for tests/procedures, diagnoses, and discharge when appropriate. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + High School Diploma or equivalent with emphasis on communication, computer skills and science courses + Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross + Computer skills, broad knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy, organized, and good interpersonal skills with all customer groups in a fast-paced environment. Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + One year of experience in a healthcare related field OR current radiology student **Physical Requirements:** + Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. + Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. **Personal Protective Equipment:** + Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required. **Pay Range** Minimum hourly: $16.25 Maximum hourly: $23.25 The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires.
