About the Job

In this role, the CT Modality Technical Specialist, in collaboration with the Radiology Leadership, including Physician Leader(s), functions as the technical "subject matter expert". This position is charged with the development & implementation of all clinical imaging protocols for the region. The Radiology Imaging CT Modality Technical Specialist acts as the chief educator/super trainer for all staff, Clinical Instructor, Scanner Accreditations, oversees all Safety protocols and all research projects, directs quality for the modality, and serves as a liaison between the equipment vendor, physicians, & staff. In addition, this person performs technical procedures, applying modality specific techniques that require independent judgement, ingenuity and initiative to provide the physician with the highest quality of diagnostic information.

What you'll need

Associate degree; or equivalent training acquired via work experience or educationSpecific Degree(s): Radiologic Technology; Radiology Technologist- AMA approved program3-5 years of previous job-related experienceMay require on-call, weekend, holiday and emergency coverage as department needs warrant.Requires travelling to offsite locations as neededPreferred: industry work experience as X-Ray Application Specialist with a major medical equipment vendor

Strong written, verbal, and presentation skillsPossesses the interpersonal skills to positively and effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.Ability to prioritize and deal with a variety of situations simultaneously.Demonstrates proficient to expert knowledge of Nuclear Medicine imaging equipment, techniques, procedures, and inventoryPresents a positive attitude and a professional appearance to exemplify the profession and represent the departmentMust demonstrate flexibility and willingness to adapt to change and anticipate interruptionEngages in problem solving, crisis management, systems implementation, and performance improvements throughout the hospital(s) to promote and support efficient, high quality, and cost-effective patient care.

American Registry of Radiologic Technologist RT (CT)(ARRT) (ARRT) Approved AMA programIllinois Emergency Management Agency Certification (IEMA)CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) from American Heart Association

Pay Range: $35.00 - $59.00

Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
