This is a technical supervisor position where the candidate will lead a Military Development Fan/LPC design team administratively and technically under the guidance of the Advanced Military Fan Design Associate Director, whom the candidate will report to. This manager will be responsible for integration within the Military Development Fan CIPT, and with partners, mating modules and system design disciplines in execution of design tasks supporting Military engine products. The associate in this position must have exceptional people and problem solving skills and will be able to step in for the Design Associate Director when he/she is absent or unavailable.
What You Will Do
Assist Design Associate Director in organizing and managing task assignments & planning, manpower requirements and coordinating in-house and outsource resources.Performance feedback and results for the group. Coach, train and develop junior design engineers.Cradle-to-grave design support, from preliminary through detailed design, development, validation, certification, manufacturing and operational service.Provide support for multidiscipline teams to provide design solutions that balance customer requirements for durability, performance, cost and weight.Ensure outsourcing work is completed, reviewed and approved by design associates with appropriate proficiency level.Coordinate with other groups to read across lessons learned, advance technology and improve engineering standard work processes/methods. Documentation and communication of results to management.Qualifications You Must Have
BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with 8+ years design experience ORAdvanced degree with 5+ years of relative experienceU.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.Qualifications We Prefer
Masters in Engineering or MBA PreferredExperience with gas turbine componentsAbility to obtain a Security Clearance due to government contracts.Experience in the design of fan or compressor hardwareFamiliarity with manufacturing processes and materialsCapability to work and lead in collaboration with other non-collocated teams.Ability to mentor and develop staff. Compression Systems Engineering (CSE)
Compression Systems Engineering is responsible for the design, development, and in service support of all fans low-pressure and high-pressure compressors for commercial and military engine models. CSE is responsible for the identification and maturation of new technologies for these products.
Technical disciplines in CSE include Project Engineering, Mechanical Design, Structural Analysis, and Product Definition.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
