CSC Tier 2 Network & Security Engineer

**What’s The Role**
The CSC Tier 2 Networking and Security engineer oversees leveraging the support and troubleshooting process for all solutions and services involving Unmanaged and Managed Networking and Security Services. It ensures the successful support and solution for customers' reports and requests, meeting Columbus quality standards and customer satisfaction. It is responsible for the management, operation, and maintenance regarding customers’ unmanaged and managed IP networks and security.
**What You'll Do**
+ Perform all test protocols needed to ensure the operability and customer satisfaction of all networking and security services.
+ Ensure all services in the solutions comply with and keep up with the customer’s expectations.
+ Provide up-to-date documentation of all services, which includes topologies, low-level designs, test results, and others.
+ Participate and provide support in maintenance windows scheduled involving unmanaged networking, managed networking, and security services.
+ Provide customer care services by conducting fault isolation identification and resolution of problems concerning to failure with Unmanaged and nd managed networkiservices.
+ Provide knowledge transfer to customers and/or other members of the group.
+ Participate in the takeover process of networking projects to CSC from installation areas.
+ Develop internal procedures to improve management, processes, and services.
+ Participate in internal and customer kickoffs for projects when it is necessary.
+ Assist Tier 1 Engineers in escalation requests
+ Manages and evaluates risks and implements and maintains policies on managed security platforms (firewalls, IPS, SDWAN, spam protectors, firewalls, and security at the WEB and MAIL level) as well as the execution of maintenance reports, exchange controls, and any required documentation of activities or events presented. which shall include but is not limited to the following:
+ Assist with the support, troubleshooting, changes, and configuration of active customer network components, which include:o Routerso Switcheso Wireless Access Pointso Wireless Controllerso Managed Firewalls and associated security devices
**Knowledge & Experience**
+ Bachelor’s degree in communications, networking, electrical engineering, or equivalent.
+ Minimum 3 years related technical experience in a help desk environment
+ Minimum 5 years working in the IT/telecommunication business.
+ Knowledge of ITIL, ISO standards, and best practices and willingness to share knowledge and experience to train and mentor the team.
+ ITIL Certified would be an asset
+ Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
+ CCNA – Cisco Certified Networking Associate
+ CCNA Security – Cisco Certified Networking Associate-Security
+ NSE 4 would be an asset.
+ CCNP-Collaboration would be an asset.
+ CCNP-Security would be an asset.
**Skills & Abilities**
+ Strong knowledge of routing, switching, and security of Cisco, Juniper, and Fortinet devices is a plus.
+ Knowledge of command lines for Juniper and Cisco hardware at the enterprise level.
+ Excellent knowledge of BGP (Border Gateway Protocol), OSPF (Open Shortest Path First), and static routing.
+ Knowledge in Layer 2 protocols such as STP and REP.
+ Knowledge in high availability protocols such as HSRP/VRRP/LACP.
+ Knowledge of wireless networking and the 802.11 protocol standards.
+ Knowledge in configuration for Access Points and Controllers, preferably in Ruckus and Fortinet.
+ Strong customer service skills, with the ability to work and manage multiple troubleshooting and cases simultaneously.
+ Strong abilities for teamwork and working to meet deadlines.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
**Specifics**
+ Full-time position, ability to work up to 50 hours per week and on-call rotation fo weekends and overnight coverage
+ Availability to travel

**Knowledge & Experience**
