**What is the job about?**
Are you ready to lead a high-impact team at the heart of customer success? As the CSC Director for the Peerless Fire Business Unit, you will take charge of a dynamic Customer Service organization, overseeing Order Management, Customer Service, Applications Engineering, and Key Account Back Office operations. You will be the driving force behind seamless collaboration with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Logistics—ensuring we not only meet but exceed customer expectations. **Your main responsibilities** :
+ Lead the day-to-day operations of the Fire Customer Service Unit (CSU), including Order Management, Applications Engineering, and Customer Service.
+ Ensure customer requirements are met by driving operational excellence and leveraging performance to support business growth.
+ Continuously evaluate and improve CSC processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
+ Oversee the accurate and timely processing of orders, technical support requests, and product application inquiries.
+ Develop and implement tools, strategies, and best practices to deliver best-in-class customer support.
+ Build and grow team capabilities through talent development, training, and performance management.
+ Support the creation and maintenance of quotation tools and customer-facing processes.
+ Collaborate with Sales and Business Development to deliver training initiatives for customers and sales channels.
+ Ensure compliance with internal policies and contribute to their development as they relate to customer operations.
+ Monitor and report on CSC performance through key metrics and monthly updates.
+ Represent the CSC at trade shows, customer meetings, and sales events as needed.
**Your background**
We imagine that you have:
+ Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business, Marketing, or Engineering. An MBA is a strong plus.
+ Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in people management, with a proven track record of leading high-performing teams.
+ At least 5 years of experience in Inside Sales, Customer Service, Application Engineering, or Production Operations. Sales experience is a valuable asset.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive process improvements and implement strategic initiatives across cross-functional teams.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
+ The ability to operate daily out of the Indianapolis facility
+ A willingness to travel up to 5% if necessary. As a result, candidates should be able to maintain valid identification.
