As a Non-Certified CS/SPD Technician, you will play a key role in how our operating rooms care for patients. In this role, you will receive ample support, training and education, including knowledge of operating the latest, state-of-the-art processing equipment and sterilization tools and concepts. **A caregiver in this position works evenings from 3:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m. with every weekend and rotating holiday requirements.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Provide safe, efficient practices for decontamination, instrument assembly, wrapping and sterilization of all reprocessed instruments and distribution equipment. + Provide case cart management. + Properly handle equipment, instruments and chemicals while adhering to preventative maintenance schedules and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) standards during the decontamination process. + Perform preventative maintenance. + Scan, sort, inspect and assemble, wrap and label instruments by instrument list as documented in the procedure. + Perform record keeping functions within the electronic tracking system, including processing, sterilization and quality assurance documentation. + Build case carts using electronic preference cards and dispatch them to appropriate locations. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + High School Diploma or GED + Sterile Processing Distribution Certification (e.g., CRCST, CSPDT, CFER, or CER) within 18 months following new hire period + Military experience as a Hospital Corpsmen (HM), Machinery Repairman (MR), Aircraft Maintenance Technician (2A3X3), Biomedical Equipment Specialist (68A), Small Arms Repairer (91F) or similar considered Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + One year of healthcare experience or a similar background in Mechanical/Manufacturing Assembly **Physical Requirements:** + Lifts and carries items weighing up to 25 pounds and ability to push, pull and navigate supply carts weighing >than 75 pounds. **Personal Protective Equipment:** + Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required. **Pay Range** Minimum hourly: $18.00 Maximum hourly: $25.90 The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires.
