The IMPaCT Team combines the Cross Border Data Clearance function, the Enterprise Data Office, Privacy, and Records and Information Management. The Enterprise CBDC (Data Transfers Office) drives the build-out and implementation of Citi's enterprise-wide data transfer framework and implements the transfers operating model.
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Vice President (SVP) to support and manage the cross-border data transfer technical product / platform within Citi. This role requires an excellent understanding of product management best practices, frameworks, and principles (e.g., software development lifecycle, Agile/Scrum methodologies), preferably with experience in country privacy / regulatory requirements, data transfer processes, and control frameworks. The ideal candidate will also be able to demonstrate a strong working knowledge on automation, AI tooling, strategic communication, and data-driven insights.
The SVP will be responsible for product advancement and oversight for the Data Enablement Platform, within the Data Transfers Office (DTO). They will accountable for the collection and translation of non-technical business requirements, pertaining to the transfer of Citi owned data, into detailed technical specifications for development execution, and will be expected to collaborate closely with Citi’s engineering development teams to build, enhance, and develop software solutions, catering to the needs of the business.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Leadership & Operational Excellence: Contribute to the definition of the overall product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
+ Team Building & Management: Assist in the building and management of a high-performing team responsible for the Product enhancement, simplification, and automation of the Citi’ Data Enablement Platform, to facilitate the execution, coordination, and control adherence, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
+ Strategic Operating Model: Design and implement a scalable and efficient operating model aligned with Citi’s global data transfer framework, optimizing processes for maximum effectiveness.
+ Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively across global legal, compliance, technology, and business teams, leveraging influence and partnership to drive seamless delivery and achieve common goals.
+ Risk Management & Mitigation: Proactively review and challenge execution quality, escalate risks promptly, and develop effective remediation strategies to mitigate potential issues.
+ Project Planning & Execution: Gather and prioritize product requirements from business stakeholders. Manage product backlog and sprint planning. Drive product launch activities and post-launch optimization
+ Technical Product Skills: Create detailed user stories, use cases, and (when required) technical specifications.
+ Continuous Improvement: Monitor product performance and identify areas for improvement.
+ Codification / Automation Focus: Offer automation and codification solutions to thematic issues and system limitations.
**Qualifications & Experience**
+ Minimum 8 years of experience in a similar Technical Product Management role.
+ Proven track record of managing and executing large-scale projects (impacting 100+ users).
+ Demonstrated ability to translate complex business needs into technical specifications.
+ In-depth knowledge of product management best practices, frameworks, and principles (e.g., software development lifecycle, Agile/Scrum methodologies).
+ Hands-on experience with automation tools, workflow platforms, and AI integration in business processes, demonstrating a passion for innovation and efficiency.
+ Strong understanding of various technologies and coding languages (ability to code not required, but beneficial).
+ Exceptional critical thinking and logical decision-making skills.
+ Stellar communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
+ Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple parallel project variables.
**Education** :
Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred
