CRO Analyst
CRO Analyst Job Description: Are you curious about what drives people to click, browse, and buy online? As a CRO (Conversion Rate Optimisation) Analyst at Sage, you’ll dive deep into web user behaviour to uncover insights that help improve our website experience and boost conversion rates. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys turning data into stories and using those stories to drive real change. You’ll play a key role in shaping how users interact with our digital platforms—working across teams to optimise journeys, landing pages, and the overall customer experience. It’s a collaborative, hands-on role where your work will directly influence performance and decision-making in a fast-paced global tech environment. This role is hybrid and based in our Newcastle office, 3 days a week. Key Responsibilities: Data Collection & Analysis You’ll spend time digging into data using tools like Google Analytics, Content Square, and Power BI to understand how users interact with our site. By spotting trends, patterns, and drop-off points, you’ll help us answer important questions about what’s working—and what’s not. Your insights into web traffic, user behaviour, and engagement will support the wider digital team in making smart, evidence-based decisions that enhance performance. Supporting Optimisation Strategy Working closely with our experimentation team, you’ll help shape data-driven A/B and multivariate tests, supporting personalisation strategies and user experience improvements. You’ll identify the most impactful parts of the user journey to focus our optimisation efforts and collaborate with marketing and user research to ensure our decisions reflect both the numbers and the human perspective. You’ll also help analyse test results to understand what’s driving success and why it matters. Conversion Funnel Optimisation You’ll take a close look at the full customer journey, identifying where users get stuck and where we can make things easier and more engaging. By spotting friction points in our conversion funnels, you’ll help design smoother, more intuitive paths to conversion. Your insights will guide improvements across the digital experience, and you’ll track how changes perform—recommending further tweaks to keep us moving in the right direction. Reporting & Insights Your ability to tell a compelling story with data will shine as you prepare regular reports and dashboards that track the performance of our CRO initiatives. You’ll present key takeaways and practical recommendations to stakeholders at all levels, helping the business stay focused on what drives results. You’ll also support the maintenance and development of Power BI dashboards, making sure our insights are easy to access and act on. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams This role is highly collaborative—you’ll work hand-in-hand with marketing, UX, product, and research teams to align CRO efforts with broader goals. You'll help make sure that insights are shared across teams and used to inform key decisions. You’ll also take ownership of the Content Square tool, championing its use across the organisation and helping others get the most out of its features.
