Our client in Merced, CA seeks a dedicated Licensed Psychiatric Technician for a Crisis Stabilization Unit. As an LPT in the CSU, you’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team focused on providing immediate care, stabilization, and support to patients in need. POSITION DETAILS:

Hourly Pay – $34 per hour Location – Merced, CA Assignment Length – Ongoing 13 weeks+ Schedule – 12 hour shifts, NOC Shift (6:45p start time), alternating weekly, set schedule Week 1 – Sun, Mon, Thurs, Fri – 48 hrs/week Week 2 – Mon, Tue (8 hours), Fri – 32 hrs/week Tuesday shift is an 8 hours shift with a start time of 10:45pm.

JOB DUTIES: Provide direct nursing care to individuals in psychiatric crisis. Administer prescribed medications and monitor for side effects. Assist with intake assessments and documentation. Monitor vital signs and behavioral changes. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support treatment plans. Maintain accurate and timely medical records. Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients. Support de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques. REQUIREMENTS: Current California LPT license in good standing. CPR certification (BLS preferred). Experience in behavioral health or psychiatric settings preferred. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
