Credit Supervisor

**Key Duties & Responsibilities**
Essential function and responsibilities of job, in order of importance. The role’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
+ Conduct thorough analysis and assessment of credit requests, including new requests, changed requests, and credit limit reviews for trade credit.
+ Underwrite new credit applications.
+ Provide recommendations tied to the analysis and assessment of credit risk.
+ Keep up with the company’s lending protocols.
+ Reconcile credit files and identify discrepancies and variances.
+ Approve new account set up, profile changes, and regular credit reviews.
+ Oversee credit and collections functions, manage everyday operations of the assigned collections program(s), and ensure policies and procedures are adhered to.
+ You will also be tasked with achieving successful results on key performance indicators individually and as a small team, consisting of two to three members, providing regular updates to the upper management team.
+ Using periodic aging data as a guide, research issues that may be contributing to problems in the collection of amounts outstanding.
+ Gain an understanding of customers’ accounting systems and procedures to modify the transfer of data to meet customers’ payables requirements.
+ Focus on resolving issues for various customer types.
+ Could be assigned a collections account if needed.
+ Take reasonable care for the safety and health of yourself and others; report workplace hazards, injuries, or illnesses immediately.
+ Other departmental duties or projects as assigned.
**Required Experience**
+ Three to five years of experience of credit and collections work.
+ Strong logical reasoning skills.
+ Ability to contribute to the quality process by learning new procedures and functions within the department as needed. Good business math skills to accurately understand and process customer account status.
+ Working knowledge of MS Office, with excellent skills in Excel and the ability to learn SIMS and other web-based applications.
+ Ability to establish a good rapport with vendors, customers, branch employees, department personnel, freight carriers, and other corporate employees using written correspondence, proper phone etiquette, and other effective interpersonal skills.
+ Strong organizational and prioritizing skills, customer service skills. Ability to establish excellent rapport with customers, sales representatives, branch management, and other corporate employees using written correspondence, proper phone etiquette, and other effective interpersonal skills.
**Preferred Experience**
+ Good business math skills to accurately understand and process customer account status.
+ Working knowledge of MS Office, with excellent skills in Excel, and the ability to learn SIMS and other web-based applications.
+ Experience with Monarch preferred but not required.
**Skills & Abilities**
+ Developing and implementing strategic collections initiatives.
+ To meet or exceed collection goals and key performance indicators set for the individual and team.
+ Provide daily supervision of the assigned work group of two to three team members.
+ Responsible for meeting goals on individual collection portfolio.
+ Analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness of collection efforts for the individual and the team.
+ Investigate credit issues and suggest payment options to be approved.
+ Training and evaluating the assigned team to follow the company collection procedures and policies.
+ Other departmental duties or projects as assigned.

**Working Conditions**
+ Work is performed in an office environment.
