What You’ll Be Doing
As part of the Bank’s Second Line of Defense, the Credit Risk Regulatory Compliance Manager serves as the Credit Risk Management representative for regulatory, Internal Audit and self-identified deficiency remediation along with other reporting requirements to meet management and regulatory expectations. The role is responsible for contributing to projects that impact Credit Risk Management through in-depth research analysis, interpretation, documentation, and advice on moderately complex information. The role applies subject matter expertise to consult with management on process improvements, to deliver high quality processes and procedures while ensuring compliance with CIBC requirements standards, work practices, processes, security standards and policies. The role participates in risk management projects, supporting the execution of a satisfactory risk plan that incorporates successful audit, and continuous audit and monitoring.
· Serve as the main point of Credit contact for the Regulatory Compliance Management (RCM) program
· Regularly track regulatory developments and monthly attest to regulatory changes
· Quarterly review Regulatory Group Topics, ensuring that accurate and active controls are tagged to regulatory obligations
· Annually lead and engage with appropriate stakeholders to conduct an in-depth review of Regulatory Group Topics and complete the Regulatory Compliance Risk Assessment
· Provide input on Credit Risk Management owned deficiencies that are presented bi-weekly at the Risk Senior Leadership Team Meeting

How You’ll Succeed
Monitor and respond to regulatory changes by proactively tracing, analyzing, and communicating regulatory developments, ensuring timely attestations and that Credit Risk Management remains compliant with evolving requirements.Maintain robust controls through quarterly review of Regulatory Group Topics, ensuring all controls are accurately mapped to regulatory obligations and remain effective in mitigating risk.Drive continuous improvement by providing insightful input on Credit Risk Management deficiencies, supporting regular reporting to senior leadership, and contributing to process enhancements that strengthen compliance and risk management practices.Liaising with various Line of Business, Risk Stripes, Internal Audit and/or Regulators to influence, direct, review and challenge credit risk-oriented change in the regulatory environment.Who You Are
You have a Bachelor’s degree/diploma in a related field such as accounting, finance, or other business discipline.Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Compliance, Risk Management, or Internal Audit roles within the banking or financial services industry.Strong background in interpreting and applying financial regulations (such as OSFI, Basel, or other relevant frameworks), with a track record of ensuring compliance in a banking environment.Excellent research, analytical, and interpersonal skills that drive cross-functional execution.You're motivated by collective success. At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $90,000 - $110,000 for the market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
