Credit Risk Analyst

Our client is a dynamic and growing insurance company operating across the European market, committed to providing innovative and robust risk solutions with a strong focus on financial lines.

We are seeking an experienced Credit Risk Analyst to support the evaluation of corporate clients within our client’s surety portfolio across Europe. This is a key role focused on financial analysis and credit risk assessment, directly supporting underwriting decisions.

 

Main Responsibilities:

Perform financial and credit risk analysis of corporate clients across various industries Assess financial statements, liquidity, profitability, leverage, and overall creditworthiness Support underwriting and risk evaluation processes for existing and prospective clients Monitor portfolio performance and identify early warning signals Prepare analytical reports, risk assessments, and recommendations for internal stakeholders Conduct market and sector research to support credit decisions Collaborate closely with international teams and contribute to cross-border projects Ensure compliance with internal risk policies and procedures

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

3+ years of previous experience in credit risk analysis, financial analysis, insurance, banking, audit, or a related analytical role Experience working in an international and dynamic environment Strong understanding of financial statements and corporate finance principles Excellent analytical thinking and attention to detail Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with financial data Fluency in English (written and spoken) Knowledge of Italian and/or Spanish would be considered an advantage University degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
