Credit/Collections Supervisor/Manager
Description Robert Half is seeking a skilled Credit/ AR Manager for the northern suburbs. The ideal candidate will bring extensive expertise in credit and collections, with a proven ability to lead teams and collaborate across departments. This role is vital to ensuring the financial health of the organization by managing accounts receivable and mitigating risks. Salary up to $135K plus 10% bonus. This is a hybrid model. Responsibilities: • Oversee credit and collections operations, including accounts receivable aging, bad debt management, and risk assessment. • Supervise and mentor a team, providing guidance and support to ensure performance goals are met. • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to influence sales teams and align credit policies with business objectives. • Analyze and approve credit applications while ensuring compliance with company credit policies. • Generate accurate reports and analytics to provide insights into collections and credit activities. • Utilize financial systems to manage accounts receivable and implement process improvements. • Develop strategies for minimizing financial risks and optimizing cash flow. • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication. • Identify opportunities for process enhancements to improve credit and collections efficiency. • Stay informed on industry trends and best practices to maintain competitive and effective credit operations. Requirements • At least 7 years of experience in credit and accounts receivable functions. • Minimum of 3 years of experience managing teams in a financial setting. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is desired. • Expertise in commercial collections, credit analysis, and assessing business risk. • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across departments. • Experience working with accounts payable/accounts receivable systems and generating analytical reports. • Proficiency in using NetSuite or similar financial software. • Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly and learn new systems and processes.
