Credit & Collections Specialist
**Job Description** Support the credit department by collecting on past due accounts receivables. Compile and process customer’s credit information. Maintain customer files within content server. Assist in reconciling open cash and credit memo items. Monitor certain A/R accounts and utilize customer portals for information. **Job Duties and Responsibilities:** + Contact new customers via email and/or phone to verify bank and trade information is complete + Initiate credit file update with existing customers – request updated credit application, financial statements + Process credit information via email, phone, fax + Order a DNBi, Credit Risk Monitor, Seafax and F&D on customer + Compile credit file and send to credit analyst, manager, director for review and decision + Update collection software and accounting software with updated credit decision + Maintain new and existing account spreadsheet + Monitor credit inbox + Complete credit reference requests + Contact customers via phone and email to resolve invoice issues and collect funds + Record accounts payable contacts and collections notes within collection software + Work within customer portals to obtain and resolve payment issues + Research open cash items and credit memos for resolution + The requirements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employee, but is not a complete list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required.
