We are seeking a detail-oriented Credit Collections Specialist to join our team. This role is pivotal in managing customer accounts, reviewing past due invoices, and maintaining strong customer relationships through effective communication and negotiation.
Responsibilities
+ Review customer accounts for past due invoices and payment history.
+ Contact customers to advise of past due amounts and negotiate payment plans.
+ Call customers whose orders have been placed on credit hold and approve/release orders based on customer payment history and credit limit.
+ Report the status of collection efforts to the manager and submit credit and account write-off requests.
+ Answer incoming customer calls and process ACH and credit card payments over the phone.
+ Make a minimum of 20 outgoing collection calls daily.
+ Provide information and answer customer questions regarding unpaid invoices.
+ Conduct research on disputed invoices and document customer communications.
+ Maintain the entire customer database in the ERP system and manage paperless billing for all customer accounts.
+ Cancel Protection Plans and update credit limits and hold status as needed.
+ Perform all other job responsibilities as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in accounts receivable, reconciliation, and cash application.
+ Proficiency in Excel and customer service skills.
+ Ability to think and act with the customer in mind, committed to quality customer service.
+ Ability to use Lean thinking and problem-solving techniques to identify and eliminate root problems.
+ Support safety programs and maintain a clean and safe workplace.
+ Produce highly accurate work with attention to detail.
+ Manage time, priorities, and resources efficiently to achieve goals.
+ Meet commitments, accept responsibility, and adhere to attendance and punctuality requirements.
+ Convey ideas and facts clearly and concisely, with good listening skills.

Work Environment
Corporate office environment with a Monday to Friday schedule. Start times are flexible between 7-8 AM, and once established, that start time becomes standard. The team is supportive, collaborative, and invests in employee growth.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
