They must comply with Billing and Coding Laws and the Baylor Scott & White Code and Ethical Conduct Policy. **Essential Functions of the Role** + Accountable for all patient credit balances. + Can figure out why an account has a credit balance with little or no supervision. + Examines the patient account for posting errors before considering refund/adjudication. + Searches for other related accounts before refunding private pay credit balances. + Knows the Managed Care contracts and contractual adjustments. + Ensures timely processing of credit balance paperwork and posting. + Monitors and reports up to management any trends that are identified. + Follows the quality review standards set forth. **Belonging Statement** We believe that all people should feel welcomed, valued and supported. **QUALIFICATIONS** + EDUCATION - H.S.
