Location: Nashville TN / Remote
Job Summary:
The Credit Assistant will support the credit management process by completing data entry, reviewing credit applications, and working closely with the sales team and customers. This role involves handling credit releases, references, limit monitoring, research, and reconciliation of complex accounts. The ideal candidate will have strong decision-making skills, the ability to work independently, and experience in B2B credit management.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Review new credit applications to ensure completeness and accuracy according to established procedures.
+ Conduct creditworthiness reviews using credit reports, financial statements, and payment history.
+ Set up new customer accounts and update existing accounts in the system.
+ Reconcile complex customer accounts and prepare weekly/monthly credit reports.
+ Monitor accounts receivable balances against credit limits to support forecasting.
+ Review and release blocked orders when appropriate.
+ Track and report balances on cash sale accounts.
+ Escalate high-risk customers to the Credit Manager/Sales team as needed.
+ Ensure all credit activities comply with corporate credit policies.
Required Skills & Experience:
+ B2B Credit Management experience
+ Trade Finance knowledge
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel required)
+ Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
+ Ability to work with diverse personality types
+ Self-starter, able to work independently
Education & Experience:
+ High School Diploma or equivalent required
+ 3+ years of relevant credit/finance experience preferred
