Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Credit & Collections Specialist to support our Accounts Receivable team during the implementation of automated Cash Application & Collections software. You will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations as we approach our fiscal year-end. This position requires someone with excellent professional collection experience, particularly with a large customer base.
ResponsibilitiesInvestigate and analyze credit applications and approve credit limits within established company guidelines using Dun & Bradstreet to assess financial stability.Monitor and maintain assigned accounts, including customer calls, account adjustments, small balance write-offs, customer reconciliations, and processing credit memos.Post daily cash from customers and manage the collection of overdue accounts.Reconcile customer disputes related to payment of outstanding balances.Reduce delinquency for assigned accounts.Process monthly credit memos and provide weekly/monthly reports to the manager.Participate in monthly Accounts Receivable review meetings with Finance and Sales.Enlist the support of Sales and senior management to expedite the collection process when necessary.Perform month-end close duties according to company schedule.Identify improvement opportunities and participate in lean improvement projects.Assist with periodic audits.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential Skills3+ years of Credit and Collections experience (B2B)Experience in Cash ApplicationsProfessional communication skillsProfessional collection experience with a large customer baseProficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables and VLOOKUPS)Experience with large ERP systemsAdditional Skills & QualificationsSAP experience is highly preferredExperience dealing with disputesStrong attention to detail and accuracyCommitment to excellent customer serviceExcellent written and verbal communication abilitiesAbility to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilitiesWork Environment
Initially onsite until fully trained (30-90 days), transitioning to a hybrid model with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote. Work out of the HQ building in an open space with your own cubicle, sitting alongside your team. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
