Credit And Collections Specialist
Job Title: Credit and Collections SpecialistJob Description As a Credit and Collections Specialist, you will perform full-cycle collections activities through email, phone, and customer portals. You will evaluate delinquent accounts and recommend their placement with collection agencies when appropriate. Additionally, you will identify, investigate, and resolve payment discrepancies, deductions, and credit balances in a timely manner. Responsibilities + Collaborate cross‑functionally with Sales, Finance, and Operations to correct billing and payment issues and prevent their recurrence. + Accurately maintain credit notes, payment commitments, and dispute records within the Get Paid reporting system. + Respond to customer inquiries and provide follow‑up documentation or clarification as needed. + Prepare and manage documentation and communications related to customer programs, including rebates, hauling agreements, and other contractual arrangements. + Build, maintain, and strengthen effective working relationships with customers and internal stakeholders across Sales, Finance, and Operations. + Meet recurring performance and key business metrics; prepare and deliver regular reports to the Credit Manager. + Review reporting trends and provide actionable feedback to the Credit Manager to address and reduce recurring disputed items. Essential Skills + 2+ years of experience in B2B Accounts Receivable or Credit/Collections. + Proficiency in Excel. + Strong communication skills for email and phone interactions with vendors. + Customer service-oriented approach. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Preferred experience with Get Paid. + NACM certification or AA business degree is a plus. + Experience with Microsoft Office. Work Environment This role involves working in a collaborative environment where you will be part of a team consisting of 4 collectors, with a total of 16 team members. You will work with credit inboxes, creating credit files, and resolving deductions and disputes with the sales and procurement team. The position offers a hybrid work schedule with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote, with Wednesdays in the office and flexible hours between 6 AM and 6 PM. Typically, team members work from 7 AM to 3 PM. The workplace is known for its great culture and offers opportunities for internal growth across various teams. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Saint Paul, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
