Job Title: Credit and Collections Specialist
Job Description

As a Credit and Collections Specialist, you will investigate and analyze credit applications to approve credit limits within established company guidelines, utilizing Dun & Bradstreet to assess financial stability. Your role will be essential in monitoring and maintaining assigned accounts, which includes handling customer calls, account adjustments, small balance write-offs, customer reconciliations, and processing credit memos. You will also manage daily cash postings from customers and work on the collection of overdue accounts. A key responsibility will be reconciling customer disputes related to outstanding balances and reducing delinquency for assigned accounts. Additionally, you will process monthly credit memos and provide weekly/monthly reports to management, participate in monthly AR review meetings with Finance and Sales, and collaborate with Sales and senior management to accelerate the collection process when necessary. Month-end close duties will align with company cadence, and you will identify improvement opportunities and participate in lean improvement projects. Assisting with periodic audits may also be part of your responsibilities.

ResponsibilitiesInvestigate and analyze credit applications.Approve credit limits within established guidelines.Monitor and maintain assigned accounts.Handle customer calls and account adjustments.Process small balance write-offs and credit memos.Post daily cash from customers and manage overdue accounts.Reconcile customer disputes regarding outstanding balances.Reduce delinquency for assigned accounts.Provide weekly/monthly reporting to management.Participate in monthly AR review meetings.Collaborate with Sales and senior management for collections.Perform month-end close duties.Identify and participate in lean improvement projects.Assist with periodic audits.Essential Skills2-5 years of experience in high-volume corporate collections.Experience in cash applications.Professional communication skills.Experience with a large customer base.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.Experience with large ERP systems.High school diploma.Additional Skills & QualificationsSAP experience is highly preferred.Experience dealing with disputes.Associates or Bachelor's degree.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Commitment to excellent customer service.Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.Work Environment

Initially onsite until fully trained (30-90 days), transitioning to 3 days in the office and 2 days remote. The position is based at the headquarters building in an open space where you will have your own cubicle and be seated with your team. The company offers a beautiful campus environment, providing a great opportunity to gain experience with a well-known company. Although the role is a contract position, there may be opportunities to apply for full-time positions if they become available.

This is a Contract position based out of Fort Collins, Colorado.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $34.00/hr.
