Job Description
The Credit and Collections Specialist will collaborate with customers on invoices and accounts receivable. The role involves managing outstanding invoices to ensure payment collection. This position reports to a manager located in California.
ResponsibilitiesCollect outstanding account receivables and perform administrative tasks.Manage all aspects of credit, collection, analysis, and resolution of billing problems.Reduce accounts receivable delinquency.Identify accounts that have exceeded credit terms and limits.Review aging accounts for any past due credits or short payments.Verify credit applications and request missing documents.Identify accounts that require prepayment before printing or delivery, and communicate with billing and customers for receipt of funds.Essential SkillsProficiency in bookkeeping and accounts receivable.Strong skills in analysis, collection, and credit analysis.Experience with reconciliation and wire transfers.Proficiency in MS Excel, including VLOOKUP functions.Experience in customer management and billing.Additional Skills & Qualifications1+ years of office experience related to credit processing, collections, accounts receivable, invoicing, and billing.Experience with the MS Office Suite.Excel testing is a plus.Work Environment
The work environment features a modern open concept office located downtown above Americana. It is highly collaborative, with a coffee and snack area in the middle of the office for all employees. The role involves working with a team of five other accounts receivable professionals. Initial training and onboarding involve 2-4 weeks in person.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
