Description:Full-Time Credentialing Team Lead position, that is an integral part of the credentialing team, and is responsible for following credentialing policies and procedures; maintain an accurate physician data base; collecting data; and participating in development and implementation of changes to the medical staff processes.

What a Credentialing Team Lead will do:

Serves as Lead Coordinator providing guidance and support for Medical Staff ServicesProvides support to Medical Staff and administrative leadership, general medical staff, and committees, pertaining to appointments, compliance, bylaws, rules, and regulations.  Responsible for consistent application, effectiveness, and accountability for medical staff programs and staffProvides input into hiring decisions, as well as colleague performance planning and reviews

What a Credentialing Team Lead will need:

Bachelor’s Degree in Health Care Administration, Legal, Business or related field of study, or equivalent combination of education and work experienceTwo years physician/APP credentialing experience or previous experience in a Medical Staff Services DepartmentExtensive knowledge of Joint Commission, CMS, and Michigan Regulations and standards as they relate to Medical Staff functions

Please note that position requires 20% of time to be spent on site for meetings, in the Muskegon area.
