Responsibilities

First point of contact for providers seeking medical staff or managed care credentialing. Processes pre-applications and initial applications as single point of contact for providers seeking medical staff and/or managed care credentialing.  Provides superior experience managing process, communications and customer service for all provider applicants.  Works closely with Medical Staff Offices, the National CVO and other entities in support of medical staff health professionals.

 

Responsibilities:

Connects with providers interested in joining the organization.Handles central mailbox importing and reviewing pre-application requests.Evaluates pre-application for provider eligibility for specific ministries (e.g. assures eligibility meets bylaws requirements for medical staff appointment).Once eligibility is confirmed, launches applications to providers.Tracks provider progress on application.  Reaching out on a regular basis to assist.  Managing to a 30 day target turnaround time.Reviews application to ensure completeness.  Communicating with MSO, Managed Care and National CVO teams as required.Once complete, Navigator turns the file over to the Coordinator, informing the provider, MSO and the Managed Care teams..Maintains contact with the provider throughout the initial process to ensure satisfaction.Maintains connection with provider to provide follow up support as necessary.Schedules, coordinates and attends all assigned department and committee meetings, conferences and special events in support of medical staff credentialing activities.Communicates with both internal and external customers concerning the navigation activities of the department, including requests for assistance with provider connections across Ascension.Ensures data integrity. Maintains adequate documentation for analysis, data retrieval, and troubleshooting of systems and databases.Manage processes, communication, and customer service for all provider applicants. Serve as a first point of contact for providers seeking medical staff or managed care credentialing. Connect with providers interested in joining the organization and evaluate pre-application requests for eligibility based on participation requirements.Manage the mailbox for reviewing and processing pre-application requests and application fee collection.Launch applications for eligible providers, track progress, and review for completeness. Coordinates with Medical Staff Offices and National Credential Verification Operations teams. Maintain communication with providers throughout the process to ensure a seamless experience.Schedule and attend stakeholder meetings and communicates navigation activities to internal and external customers, including requests for assistance with provider connections across the organization.Ensure data integrity and maintains documentation for analysis.
Requirements

Education:

 High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
