Competitive Compensation

-Expected pay for this position is $20.21 - $23.77/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.

POSITION SUMMARY: ​The Credentialing Assistant monitors and updates expirables in the credentialing software system, researching, analyzing and verifying confidential medical provider information using various resources. Gathers information for updating and maintaining database files for the Credentialing Verification Organization (CVO). Performs a variety of duties such as scanning, data entry, and faxing. Prepares and submits Global Access Security Form (GASF).


Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High School/GEDExperience: 2 years of work experience in clinical or clerical healthcare, Medical Staff Office, or credentialing organization.Other: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software; Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Associates degree in healthcare, business, finance, healthcare administration or other healthcare related fieldExperience: Knowledge of credentialing software Working knowledge of The Joint Commission (TJC) standards, National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) standards and other regulatory agencies (CMS, IDPH) related to medical staff credentialing and privileging.
