Job Description

What you will do:

Responsible for leading buyers; primary responsibility is to actively participate in the development of commodity strategy for sourcing, price negotiations, material budget execution, and team metrics through an interface with suppliers and internal stakeholders.Work is of a sophisticated nature involving a considerable amount of initiative, analytical work and a high level of independent judgment, so it is required to be structured and organized.Need to be highly effective in team work, dealing with ambiguity and effective relationship management.

Responsibilities may include:

Support and validate Sourcing strategies by buyer and component to meet business objectives through the planning of the review with Manager and ensuring data storage. Follow up the development of the metric pertaining to sourcing activity of buyers and CT.Budget Management includes to have a clear and deeply understanding of what drives the budget variances and how is Finance tracking the information to be able to report in multiple forums and to update MPR system.Planning, coordination, execution and reporting of CT standardized requests of information to buyers including:Business Over Time data for all components of the CT by launching BOT tracking file with the buyers, ensure understanding and then consolidating information twice a year.Change Requests of programs and strategic deliverables for CT through reviews with buyers by componentCoordinate benchmark activities with participation of other functions such as engineering and cost estimation.SMT or program requests such as Project Austin, Mineral verification, Supplier readiness verifications, SSE suppliers of CT, etc.Lead CT Call and Strategic Creativity Team meetings via teleconference, web meeting and/or face to face, as well as open forums with buyers to ensure a space for them to review any open topic they need support with.Support global buyers to ensure the sourcing presentations are presented in CT Call and provide them occasional support with resolution of commercial issues.Ensure the team adheres to corporate purchasing and accounting practices and procedures, through a deep understanding of processes and application by situation. Responsible of educate, guide and coach the buyers through the processes to ensure the execution and to follow up any contingency action if required.Ensure buyers apply appropriate tools, i.e., benchmarking, global competitive sourcing, value chain analysis, supplier negotiations, engineering change cost containment, technical cost reduction, part/system reuse, etc. To meet business objectives for any threat or price negotiation. Ensure 1804s and 1810s cost breakdowns analysis are being correctly interpreted by buyers and supporting areas aligned to CTL expertise.Assist buyers to ensure deck is correctly understood and analytical work such as estimations for targets, cost impacts, and cost reduction activities are correctly calculated to avoid mistakes in process reporting (Sourcing, budget, etc.).Stay ahead of current product developments and changes in programs, policies, organizational change directions.Responsible to develop key metrics dashboards and process to maintain them as well as to report them, including data collection, filtration, analysis, data verification and design; ensuring proper reporting by CT and by buyer of following items:ECRs count and completion datesBudget statusSourcing pipelineCapacity ticketsExpiring contractsPNOCsMissing LBEsCR and DNsSSE and SSE 360DCW trackingAssist GCM in workload analysis through deep understanding of expenditure report, and metrics by buyer as well as process execution.Develop CT strategic presentations for upper management including a consolidation of CT information such as budget, metrics, component information, etc.Develop a strategic relationship with VCE representatives to ensure common goals are being pursued for the Creativity team, develop joint plans to meet business objectives according to purchasing specific needs of DCWs; price increase analysis and cost reduction strategies.Develop a strategic relationship with PPCO to ensure deep understanding of CKM data, for all the team and to understand opportunity areas that drive rework when purchasing is using PPCO estimations for sourcing or ECR process.Develop a strategic relationship with Engineering to ensure alignment of sourcing strategies and any issue with suppliers related to execution of production.

Work Appropriately

Hybrid: This position requires to work 3 days on site 2 days at home remote on a full-time basis.

Required Critical Skills:

Direct Material purchasing experience 5 yearsEngineering or related.Advacned english.High level of capability to work independentlyHighly proficient oral and written communication skillsHigh level of analytical ability where problems are unusual and complexHigh level of interpersonal skills to work optimally with others and ability to collaborate cross-functionallyDeep knowledge of corporate purchasing policies and proceduresAbility to prioritize assignments/projectsExperience leading commercial issues with suppliers and assessing supplier performanceProven high competence in negotiating skillsProficient with Microsoft office products - Word, Excel, PowerPointPurchasing Systems knowledge- GDIMPs (FX and material index implementation, ATPs, contract types, etc.), SAP, ECM, e-Merge, Purchasing dashboards, among others.
