As an ACD-level Art & Design lead at Spring, you’ll help define and elevate the visual direction of the TurboTax brand across a wide range of touchpoints—from national campaigns to product ecosystems to emerging digital platforms. Your expertise will drive brand storytelling, visual systems, and design-led marketing experiences that cut through culture and resonate with diverse audiences.
You are a highly conceptual art director with a refined design sensibility and a passion for building iconic, strategically grounded brand work. You thrive at the intersection of idea and execution, bringing clarity and craft to every stage of the creative process—from initial concept to final delivery. You're just as comfortable shaping the big idea as you are guiding designers through typography choices or design system application.
This role is for someone who’s ready to lead and inspire a team, own the creative process from end to end, and shape the future of the TurboTax brand through the power of exceptional design.
**What you'll bring**
+ A world-class portfolio that showcases high-end conceptual thinking, impeccable design craft, and a clear role in leading visual storytelling across brand campaigns, platforms, and experiences.
+ 8+ years of visual design experience, including brand, campaign, or product work—whether in-house, at an agency, or studio setting.
+ Proven leadership in developing and delivering holistic creative—from brand systems and identity evolution to large-scale, integrated marketing campaigns.
+ Mastery of core design principles—typography, layout, visual hierarchy—with the ability to flex design across digital, social, experiential, and emerging formats.
+ Strong strategic instincts, with the ability to turn briefs, business goals, and customer insights into ideas that are both creatively inspiring and commercially effective.
+ A sharp, collaborative communicator who can present work persuasively and build alignment across teams and senior stakeholders.
+ A mentorship mindset, with a desire to grow designers, build team culture, and raise the bar on the craft of the entire team.
+ Fluent in industry-standard design and prototyping tools (Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.), and open to exploring new platforms and workflows as design continues to evolve.
+ Curiosity for emerging technology and design trends, with a strong interest in evolving how brand design lives in a tech-forward, AI-driven world.
**How you will lead**
+ Set the creative vision across brand campaigns, marketing experiences, and design systems—bringing a strong point of view and clear direction to cross-functional teams.
+ Own concept development, collaborating with writers, strategists, product partners, and marketers to deliver smart, audience-driven, and culturally relevant creative work.
+ Mentor and inspire a team of designers and art directors, championing taste, craft, and experimentation while supporting growth and development.
+ Drive consistency and innovation across the TurboTax brand identity—balancing fidelity to brand systems with the need to evolve and push boundaries.
+ Present and advocate for creative work at the highest levels, effectively building trust and alignment with internal stakeholders and senior leadership.
+ Lead multiple workstreams, navigating ambiguity and shifting priorities with a steady hand, and ensuring exceptional execution under tight timelines.
+ Stay connected to culture, trends, and design inspiration—bringing fresh thinking to the table and identifying collaborators, vendors, and creative opportunities that keep the brand ahead of the curve.
Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is: Bay Area California $157,000.00 - 212,500.00This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits).Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location.
