Creative Content Specialist

Women’s Basketball is looking for a highly motivated, creative individual with experience and passion for creating graphics and recruiting projects for our team. In this role you will be in a position to grow your skills and make an immediate impact on our program and recruiting efforts.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate taste and understanding of graphics and recruiting trends. Stay current with trends in recruiting, plan and execute graphics for social media and recruiting visitsExecute consistent designs aligned with University of Miami idealsProactively and effectively communicate with the coaching and media communications staffs; share work early and often and seek out constructive feedbackCollaborate with other staff members to develop design conceptsOther duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite (Focusing on Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)Ability to apply and perform graphic design, including drawing/sketching, typography, ideation, color theory, use of texture, spacing, and scale visual presentation development and layout.Ability to take creative direction and work independently with an extreme attention to detailFlexible and adaptable; able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong verbal and written communication skillsEffective presentation skills with the ability to clearly articulate ideasWorking knowledge of the digital landscape in media, design and technologyUnderstanding of contemporary design, internet, and youth culture trendsA knowledge and love of sports and sports culture a plus

Requirements

A bachelor’s degree is required. Two years of collegiate athletic or related work experience is preferred. Strong organizational, oral and written communication skills. Commitment to a responsibility to adhere to all policies, rules and regulations of the University of Miami, the Atlantic Coast Conference and the NCAA is required.
