We are seeking an experienced Crane Operator to join our team in Oakland Park. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating and maintaining various types of cranes for construction and material handling operations.
ResponsibilitiesOperate mobile cranes, tower cranes, and other lifting equipment safely and efficiently.Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance checks.Calculate load weights and ensure proper rigging techniques.Follow all safety protocols and OSHA regulations.Communicate effectively with ground crews and other construction team members.Interpret and follow lift plans and project specifications.Maintain accurate logs of operations and safety checks.Monitor weather conditions that may impact crane operations.Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.Essential Skills2-3 years of proven experience operating various types of cranes.High school diploma or equivalent.Current OSHA safety certifications.Strong understanding of load calculations and rigging procedures.Excellent spatial awareness and hand-eye coordination.Proven safety record and attention to detail.Physical ability to climb, lift, and perform equipment inspections.Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.Additional Skills & QualificationsKnowledge of construction industry practices and terminology.Experience maintaining operation logs and safety records.Why Work Here?Our work culture values growth and development, as demonstrated by our current Assistant Plant Manager who began as a contractor and advanced within the company. Work EnvironmentThe position is for a 2nd shift schedule: Monday to Thursday from 4:30 pm to 2 am, Friday from 2 pm to 10 pm, with optional Saturday shifts. The work environment is open-air, covered by sheet metal, and can be loud and dirty. The facility is located in Fort Lauderdale. Candidates are required to wear boots and may occasionally use ladders and lifts, involving some climbing. The role requires walking and standing most of the time, occasional kneeling and stooping, and lifting items weighing less than 50 lbs. Hours outside of the scheduled shift may be necessary as workload dictates, including weekends.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
