We need you to complete our team as part of the Canadian Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS) Operational Training Unit (OTU) instructor cadre in Ottawa. Qualifications and Education Requirements + Delivery of the CQ-9B Tactical Coordinator (TACCO) course incorporating theory, synthetic and live flying phases. + Provide TACCO subject matter expertise (SME) support to the joint Pilot and Sensor Operator (SO) CQ-9B course. + Provide oral and written SME to other members of the CAE Mission Crew Instructor cadre. + Ensure delivered training is consistent with training objectives and teaching points in the training plan, per applicable training standards. + Delivery of synthetic and live training using complex simulators and scenario generation systems, and the live aircraft. + Compiling student sortie progress and course debrief reports. + Reporting instructional issues and deficiencies relative to the course delivery. + Work autonomously to tackle a broad scope of requirements for aircrew students and customer representatives. + Effectively deliver oral presentations to aircrew students, customers representatives and CAE management. + Work independently towards a team goal. + Contribute to development of courseware and teaching aids. + Liaise and contribute to student course scheduling. + Perform occasional travel in support of the project. + Other duties as assigned. Required background/Skills/Experience + Superior interpersonal and communication skills  + Experience with writing and amending multi-media instructional courseware + Familiar with quality standards, training plans, and training media used to ensure teaching points are met as per Training Standards + Eligibility to work in Canada either as a Canadian Citizen, a Permanent Resident or on a valid Work Permit + Capable of obtaining and maintaining both Controlled Goods and a Government of Canada NATO SECRET security clearance + Physically able to perform all instructional tasks in a live and synthetic setting + Previous experience as a TACCO instructor, preferably on the CP-140, but other Canadian maritime platforms will be considered + Formal training in Instructional Techniques  + Anti-surface Unit Warfare and Search and Rescue experience + Weaponeering effects delivery experience + Link-16 experience Preferred Skills + Airborne collection sensor operating experience + Exposure to Signals intelligence + Exposure to Electro Optic / Infra-Red (EO/IR) systems + Experience of RCAF Standards, Evaluation and Training (SET) organisation  + >100 formal instructional hours + Military UAV experience + Land Domain experience CAE offers: + Working environment of 2024 Canada’s top 100 employers.  + A dynamic and innovative environment within Canada’s Top Defence Company of 2025. + A stimulating career path and internal mobility. + Domestic or international relocation packages for eligible employees, including support for Canadian work permit, if required. + Attractive benefits, including but not limited to:   + + Defined benefits retirement plan + Stocks purchased plan + Flexible work hours and teleworking policy + Flexible vacations + Competitive maternity and parental leave policies + And more.  Target start date is expected to be Fall 2026.
