Job Summary

\n

The CPE Program Manager provides management and administration of the Baylor Scott & White Health clinical pastoral education program.

\n

Essential Functions of the Role

\n\nConducts programs of clinical pastoral education under the standards of the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE).\nCoordinates the provision of clinical pastoral education services to students and provides pastoral care to patients, family members, and staff.\nDevelops and maintains CPE programs and other pastoral care leadership curricula.\nSupervises students' clinical work, provides educational opportunities, and evaluates students.\nWorks with department chaplains to structure clinical assignments for trainees in order to maximize educational experience.\nConducts training classes and develops instructional materials. Coordinates educational resources for CPE students per departmental training goals and ACPE, Inc. Program standards. Provides training for pastoral care staff and volunteers per departmental leadership goals.\nRecruits, interviews, and selects students for CPE programs.\nEmcompasses master-level attention to detail \n\nKeeping up with student progression and meeting accreditation deadlines, etc.\n\n\n\n

Key Success Factors

\n\nKnowledge of the clinical education program (CPE) and standards.\nKnowledge of philosophical systems and religions.\nKnowledge of the religious beliefs and practices of various faiths, groups, and denominations.\nVerbal and written communication skills.\n\nAbility to communicate with key stakeholders, executive leadership, team members, etc.\n\n\nListening skills.\nSkill in counseling students, patients, family members and staff.\nAbility to develop and implement curriculum in accordance with ACPE standards.\nAbility to recruit students.\nAbility to counsel people during periods of stress.\nAbility to train, motivate, evaluate and supervise students.\n\n

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION - Masters'EXPERIENCE - 2 Years of ExperienceCERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION - ACPE Associate Cert Educator (ACPE-ACE), ACPE Cert Educator Candidate (ACPE-CEC), ACPE Certified Educator (ACPE-CPE): Must have one of these: ACPE Certified Educator (formerly named Supervisor Certification also accepted)ACPE Associate Certified EducatorACPE Certified Educator Candidate.
