Marsh is seeking candidates for a Coverage & Claims leader in our Casualty practice focusing in our Healthcare industry. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
Coverage & Claims Leader- Casualty Healthcare Practice
This role primarily in our Healthcare industry practice with a focus on Medical Malpractice Coverage and claims.
What can you expect?
Responsible for providing legal and coverage expertise to clients and internal teams.
Writes/drafts customized captive policies and endorsements as needed/required.
Supports clients in their efforts to create and maintain claims processing and captive claims management protocols.
Provides strategic healthcare industry and risk management leadership, and guidance on complex claims issues.
Supports placement strategy by utilizing coverage and claims expertise and knowledge of industry and carriers to develop coverage solutions that meet complex client needs.
Guides strong working relations with carriers and or underwriters to create innovative approaches to unique coverage needs.
Maintains thorough understanding of changing insurance and risk market conditions and informs client teams, clients and carriers of major development affecting carious types of coverage/claims trends.
Devises new products and innovative solutions that address complex client needs.
Provides complex claims advocacy support from claim reporting through resolution.
Consults managements on highly complex client issues or trends through clear and concise communication and drives development of solutions to drive excellence in customer service.
Creates and provides training as needed internally and externally
May engage in various speaking engagement and authoring of white papers.

What you need to have:
Bachelor's degree preferred
Minimum of 10 years’ of commercial P&C insurance coverage experience in a risk management or brokerage capacity.
Casualty in addition to Healthcare experience is necessary
Working knowledge of healthcare insurance coverages is required.
P&C license needed, or ability to obtain

Marsh McLennan is committed to hybrid work, which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration, connections and professional development benefits of working together in the office. All Marsh McLennan colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one “anchor day” per week on which their full team will be together in person.
The applicable base salary range for this role is $149,000 to $317,300.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
