Country Manager
Airswift is seeking a Country Manager to work in a permanent contract in Guyana with a company specializing in floating thermal power plants.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for ensuring all business activities and resources be directed toward meeting Company objectives. Directs the search, selection, and employment process of new employees or replacements. Coordinate activities required to assure commencement of Commercial Operations of all Power Plants on time on budget and on specifications. Responsible for the close out of project related documents with all stakeholders. Resolve issues with the customer concerning billings, plant performance, outages and failure to meet expectations and/or contract requirements. Be principal interface between the customer and the Company. Preparation of country budget and all financial related matters, ensure the achievement of key performance targets as set out in budgets or forecasts. Holds direct responsibility for managing cost by effective approval expenditures, overtime and effective budget monitoring and monthly variance reporting. Supervise the preparation of required internal and external business, operational, and compliance reports, budgets, and forecasts as needed. Verify the validity of all business and plant operating permits and requirements, ensure compliance with all laws and regulations. Actively participate and conclude all commercial negotiations on all local agreements. Participate to periodic review of all plant policies and procedures to ensure they represent actual commercial and operational requirements. Audit O&M performance against agreed dashboard KPIs and contract compliance. Assist to coordination of activities required to assure optimum safety and environmental compliance, plant efficiency and reliability, in accordance with established contracts, agreements, policies and applicable regulatory laws and procedures. Coordination, planning, budgeting and execution of major maintenance or capital expenditure programs with Plant Managers. Acts as Company principal public relations spokesperson in matters involving the public or media. •     Conduct extensive market research prior to starting up the business and continue gathering information throughout the life of the business.
•     Informing and reporting current market developments, analyzing energy market structure and regulations, assembling periodic industry and country reports.
•     Examining the price mechanisms, price trends and forecasts within the region as a basis for further financial analysis.
•     Establishing strategic contacts in markets of interest to the firm, developing new business relationships, maintaining current client relationships active.
•     Establishing new offices in the region, taking under all administrative activities about projects within the region.
•     Managing relations and correspondences with foreign governmental organizations and officials.
•     Examining contractual issues/responsibilities of existing and new contracts.
