The Opportunity

We are seeking a strategic and commercially driven Country Manager to lead Abbott Rapid Diagnostics – Infectious Diseases across Malaysia, Singapore, and Brunei.

This is a critical leadership role with full P&L responsibility, accountable for driving sustainable growth, strengthening distribution partnerships, and leading high‑performing teams in a complex, highly regulated healthcare environment.

What You’ll Do

Financial & Commercial Leadership

Own and deliver top and bottom‑line performance across the cluster

Manage budgets, forecasting, and financial KPIs (sales, margin, market share)

Identify growth opportunities while optimizing profitability

Strategy & Market Leadership

Develop and execute an integrated country strategy aligned with regional and global priorities

Shape go‑to‑market, sales, marketing, market access, and regulatory strategies

Lead the organization through change in dynamic market environments

Stakeholder & Partner Management

Build strong relationships with distributors, key customers, KOLs, and government stakeholders

Lead complex negotiations with distribution partners and institutional stakeholders

Represent Abbott professionally with high intercultural effectiveness across markets

People Leadership

Build, coach, and retain a diverse, high‑performing leadership team

Foster a strong culture of accountability, collaboration, and talent development

What You’ll Bring

Postgraduate degree in Management (top‑tier business school) or Postgraduate Scientific/Medical Degree

Minimum 10 years’ experience in the healthcare industry, with 4–5 years in senior leadership roles

Strong P&L ownership and commercial acumen

Proven experience in distributor management and complex stakeholder engagement

Strategic, decisive leader with excellent communication and influencing skills

Ability to lead through ambiguity and deliver results in matrixed organizations
